Karl Leswing is the Vice President of Machine Learning at Schrödinger, where he oversees the research, development, and integration of AI models into Schrödinger’s digital chemistry platform. He leads R&D initiatives to advance molecular discovery across drug design and materials science, including serving as a key industry collaborator with the Columbia Center for Computational Electrochemistry. A prominent voice in AI-driven chemistry, Karl co-authored MoleculeNet, a landmark benchmarking paper that redefined how machine learning techniques are evaluated in chemoinformatics, developed during his time as a visiting researcher at Stanford’s Pande Lab.
